Biohazard & Contaminated Device Policy

At Clark's ER, the safety of our technicians, equipment, and work environment is a priority. Devices received in unsanitary, contaminated, or hazardous condition may require additional handling, cleaning, or refusal of service.
Insect Infestation
Devices found to contain live insects, insect nests, eggs, excessive insect residue, or signs of active infestation may be subject to a $40 cleaning and handling fee.
If the infestation is severe, Clark's ER reserves the right to refuse service and return or dispose of the device in accordance with applicable law.
Biological Contamination
Devices contaminated with bodily fluids, mold, animal waste, excessive smoke residue, or other biological contaminants may require specialized handling.
Clark's ER reserves the right to refuse service on any device that presents a health or safety risk.
Hazardous Materials
Devices containing hazardous substances, chemical contamination, dangerous battery damage, or any condition that may pose a risk to people, property, or equipment may be refused immediately.
Service Refusal
If a device is determined to be unsafe for handling, repair services may be declined at any stage of the evaluation process.
Any shipping, cleaning, disposal, or handling costs already incurred may remain the responsibility of the customer.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring that devices are reasonably clean and safe to handle before shipment.
Failure to disclose known contamination or infestation may result in additional fees, service delays, or refusal of service.
